New Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 trailer impressions show gameplay, improved character models and even some changes to level design. So, we’re not surprised to see the game is delayed to January 24, 2017. However, that definitely means Kingdom Hearts 3 won’t be happening any time soon. All those rumors of a Kingdom Hearts sequel arriving or even being announced for next year seem pointless right now.

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 trailer Impressions – The PS4 exclusive game looks stunning

Get ready for intense nostalgia and a stellar game soundtrack. Director Tetsuya Nomura said in a tweet that the game is delayed. Reason was that they were additionally working on Final Fantasy 15.

The game will obviously face stiff opposition from other games releasing in the same time frame. There is no confirmation of whether the game will arrive to the PS4 Pro or not.

The Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 trailer Impressions features a great remix of “Simple and Clean” J-pop song popularized in the first Kingdom Hearts from 2002. Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue will also include a hi-def remastered version of Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance.

The game is also rumored to feature never-before scenes from Kingdom Hearts X [chi] Back Cover, an origin movie that will be included in the compilation.

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue includes a high-definition remaster of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, as well as two new pieces of content to the Kingdom Hearts series. The first, Kingdom Hearts X Back Cover, tells a new tale of the Foretellers in HD cinematics, while Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep–A Fragmentary Passage, is an all-new game that takes place after the events of Birth by Sleep from the perspective of Aqua. Back Cover and A Fragmentary Passage will be the ninth and tenth installments in the Kingdom Hearts series.
