“One more time, old friend” and with that Corvo puts the mask back on and we witness the masked crusader walk the streets of Dunwall once more. In our Dishonored 2 trailer impressions we will give you a brief run-down of what to expect when playing as Corvo in the upcoming stealth game.
Dishonored 2 Trailer Impressions – Delilah is a mean antagonist
By now most of you know the identity of the upcoming game’s villain. However, this trailer sheds some light on what she’s capable of. You see her tossing Corvo from one end of the room to the other with just a flick of the wrist.
New executions for Corvo
Corvo appears to have developed his fighting style over the course of the development of the game. You now see him using his feet to take down enemies in final executions. Furthermore, one on one sword combat has become more varied as you finish off your foes with even more brutal executions than before.
The Outsider is back
In the trailer you can see the Outsider make a return. He entices Corvo with the prospect of defeating Delilah. However, he also warns that he will have to make a sacrifice in the end. There is a very strong hint that the sacrifice could be his own daughter Emily Caldwin.
Dishonored 2 introduces non-lethal combat moves, and features the “chaos” system used in the first game. The player gains chaos by killing characters, representative of the player destabilizing the world. The game adds a new element to the system where, at the start of a mission, random non-player characters are procedurally assigned one of three states: sympathetic, guilty and murderous.
