As you might be knowing, a lot of flagships have been getting the Android Marshmallow update lately. Few major companies like HTC, Huawei, Motorola etc. have already provided the Android 6.0 upgrade to most of their phones. Even LG has given out the update to some of its phones, and the LG G3 Android Marshmallow update has been announced already. Before that, the LG G4 will be updated to the newer version, and the G3 will follow suit soon after.

LG had started the Marshmallow rollout for the LG G4 in around October 2015, but some technical difficulties led to the scrapping of those plans. However, the update rollout was resumed soon in December 2015 in Poland. After concentrating on the G4, LG will be offering the update to the LG G3 series. It is being said that the update will be rolled out probably in or after the second week of March.

The LG G3 had been released in 2014 and was well-received in the market, thanks to the QHD screen with a pixel density of 538ppi and its brushed metal frame. The modern and breathtaking appearance of the phone made it a hit, but the software is what makes the phone great. The LG G3 will now get an even more amazing UI with the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. It will be great for those who decide to stick to their G3 phones for some more time before upgrading to a newer phone.

LG G3 Android Marshmallow Features We Should Expect

1. New App Permissions: You surely know about the permissions that you need to grant while installing an app via the Play Store. Well, these apps ask for permissions just one time and you cannot choose specific permissions to grant. But thanks to Marshmallow’s new App Permissions, you can control the access that every app gets to the functions of the LG G3.

2. Uninstall Apps Directly: Android Marshmallow makes it very easy and quick to uninstall apps from your phone. You just need to go to the Home screen or the App Drawer and do a couple of taps, without having to go to the Apps section of Settings.

3. Doze: The battery life is the biggest concern of our smartphones currently. Demanding a high-capacity battery would be the same as asking for a thick phone. The manufacturers cannot be blamed, so the LG G3 Marshmallow update brings a new power saving mode call Doze. This feature makes your phone go into a hibernation state if not used for some time.
