Aaron Greenberg, leading marketing executive for the Xbox One has stated that Gears of War 4 is “in very good hands” and has hinted that an announcement for the game’s beta might be coming soon.
According to the following tweet by Greenberg, his “mind was blown” by the game:

Take it with a bit of salt, considering Greenberg’s job is to hype up games for the Xbox One. Neither Greenberg nor the game’s lead producer Rob Fergusson have revealed any details on the game’s beta. However, we do know that the beta will be open to anyone who has played Gears of War: Ultimate Edition on the Xbox One before March 1st. The offer is, of course, not valid for PC players of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition.
Gears of War 4 is under development at Microsoft studio The Coalition, and is expected to release in Fall 2016. The game’s beta, therefore, could be released at any point from now to then, but considering the immediacy of Greenberg’s tweet, we think it might be sooner rather than later.
