ZTE has really been producing some great smartphones in its high-end Axon lineup. The original ZTE Axon, Axon Pro, Axon Elite, Axon Lux, and Axon Mini have already made a huge mark in the market and have been selling really well. So the next obvious step from the company would be to introduce another phone in the same series. And this time, ZTE has placed its bet on a 6-incher.
The previous Axon phones came with 5.5-inch screens, with the Axon Mini sporting a smaller 5.2-inch display. But ZTE has announced a new phone called the ZTE Axon Max, which gets a large 6.0-inch Full HD AMOLED screen. The phone expectedly carries the premium Axon look and slim body made out of aircraft-grade aluminum-titanium alloy.
The ZTE Axon Mini gets a Snapdragon 617 octa-core CPU under its hood along with 3GB RAM and 32GB expandable storage. The dual-SIM phone comes with a 16MP rear shooter and a 13MP front snapper, which is a very impressive camera setup. A perfectly 4140 mAh battery powers the phone and supports Quick Charge 3.0, which provides 60% charge in just 30 minutes. The phone also sports a fingerprint sensor at the back, a Type-C USB port, and a dedicated AK4961 24-bit ADC for great audio experience.
If this phone impressed you, then you will be happy to know that the phone is already on order in China for an equivalent of around $431. The ZTE Axon Mini comes in Gold color only. There’s no word on when the phone will reach other markets, but we do expect ZTE to launch it internationally.
