Xiaomi Redmi series is one of the most popular and highest selling devices in the budget and mid-range segment of the smartphone market. Redmi 3 was launched a year ago and was an instant sensation. The upcoming Redmi 4 has been spotted on the database of  Chinese benchmarking website GeekBench and the results are indeed impressive. The most notable feature of the Redmi 4 that was spotted was its processor. The device will be powered by the latest and very snappy Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC.

The Snapdragon 625 chipset is the successor of the Snapdragon 616. It consists of eight Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 2GHz and a powerful Adreno 506 GPU for smooth gaming experience.
