Xiaomi had launched its latest flagship, the Xiaomi Mi5, last month at the MWC 2016 event. The phone received great reviews from experts and is a great leap for Xiaomi itself in terms of quality and features provided. The Mi5 is available in China already and is being impatiently awaited by Xiaomi fans in other parts of the world. Good news is, the Xiaomi Mi5 has finally been launched in India, and the price and availability details of the phone have been revealed.
The Xiaomi Mi5 is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 820 CPU clocked at 1.8GHz and coupled with 3GB/4GB of RAM. There’s 32GB/64GB/128GB of internal storage depending on the variant you choose. The phone features a 5.15-inches FullHD screen protected by Gorilla Glass 4 and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with MIUI 7 on top. There’s a 16MP rear camera with PDAF, dual-tone dual-LED flash, and OIS, and a 4MP Ultra-Pixel camera at the front. The phone is juiced by a 3000mAh battery and gets a fingerprint sensor.
Price and Availability
The Xiaomi Mi5 will be sold in Black, White, Gold, and Ceramic color options. The phone will be available in the standard version with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. Sadly, the 64GB variant with 3GB RAM and the 128GB variant with 4GB RAM haven’t been announced yet. The Xiaomi Mi5 has been priced at INR 24,999. The phone will go on sale in India through mi.com on 6th April at 11AM local time.
