Vivo’s Xplay series of phones are a major chunk of the company’s business, the other major chunk being the PRO series. The Vivo Xplay 5 was received very well, but now the manufacturer needs to up its game to survive in the market alongside other companies like Xiaomi, OPPO, OnePlus, and others. The Vivo Xplay 6 is on its way to its official release and is rumored to get launched soon.
Some new details have been revealed by a tipster named “Reviewer” on Weibo, China’s popular microblogging site. The post reveals that the Vivo Xplay 6 will get a 2K display and will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 processor. There will be 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage, and the device will get a 4000mAh battery. The phone will also get HiFi audio chip and might come with the fingerprint sensor seen in the Xplay 5.
One of the biggest and the most important things revealed by the tipster is that the Vivo Xplay 6 could come with a dual camera setup like the new iPhone 7 Plus. The new information also reveals that the Vivo Xplay 6 will be launched in November itself, so we can expect an official Vivo media invite any time this month. The phone will then be released on sale in early December.
The tipster has a good past record of leaking correct details, but we still suggest you to take the news with a pinch of salt unless Vivo confirms it officially. Stay tuned.
