Chinese smartphone maker Vivo just launched two of its latest smartphones Vivo X7 and Vivo X7 Plus in China. Clad in an all-metal body, both these devices look gorgeous. The USP of these devices, however, is the stunning 16 Mega-Pixel front camera accompanied by an LED flash, which is still a huge jump from the industry standards.
Both the Vivo X7 and Vivo X7 Plus are pretty identical in many aspects like the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 chipset, clocked at 1.8 GHz, 4GB of RAM, 64 GB inbuilt storage, and a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button. Both of these devices support popular connectivity options like Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/ A-GPS, GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, 4G,Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Micro-USB, etc.
Apart from these common features, the Vivo X7 sports a 5.2-inch FHD Super AMOLED display with 2.5D curved glass and runs on Funtouch OS 2.5.1 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. The device packs a 3,000mAh battery which supports fast charging and supports dual 4G SIMs. On the camera front, there is a 13MP primary camera on the rear with LED flash and phase detection auto-focus along with the fabled 16MP front camera. The Vivo X7 measures 147.3×71.8×7.2mm and weighs 151 grams.
The Vivo X7 Plus, on the other hand, sports a larger 5.7-inch Super AMOLED FHD display with 2.5D glass. It packs a larger 4000mAh battery with fast charging and is expected to come in a 128GB inbuilt storage model as well. There is 16MP primary camera with LED flash and PDAF. It measures 158.8×77.9×7.4mm and weighs around 183 grams. The rest of the features of the X7 Plus are almost identical to that of the X7.
Vivo has priced the X7 at CNY 2,498 (approx. Rs. 25,000) and it will go on sale on July 7. The X7 Plus, on the other hand, will go on sale on July 15 and its pricing will be announced at the time of local release. Both the X7 and X7 Plus will come in Gold and Rose Gold colour variants.
