Recent rumors suggest, Samsung is very close to announcing two new high-end, extra-large handsets: namely the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, and the Galaxy Note 5. Official unveiling for both Smartphones are expected to be on August 13, there are many common features as well as few key differences.

The Korea Herald today has stated that the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus would get majority of the marketing resources by Samsung, which should be released globally. At the same time, Samsung is looking to launch the Galaxy Note 5 in select markets, including the South Korea, US, and few other countries where sales of previous Galaxy Note Smartphones have been strong.
A Samsung official recently declared that “talks with global mobile carriers to release the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus” were almost finalized, while details about the launch of the Galaxy Note 5 have “not yet been decided.”
The Korea Times reported that, by launching the S6 Edge Plus globally and the Galaxy Note 5 only in select regions, Samsung wants to “avoid another cannibalization between its two similar products after its Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 edge gobbled up each other’s market shares.”
Among the two, only the Galaxy Note 5 will have a stylus pen, while the S6 Edge Plus’s dual-curve screen should be the differentiating feature between the two. The Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus could feature 5.7-inch Quad HD displays, Exynos 7420 processors, 4 GB of RAM, and 16 MP rear cameras.
There have been numerous leaks in the past, which showed us the images of both the smartphones, we have listed few of them below.
