Samsung had launched two of its mid-range smartphones Samsung Galaxy A7 (2016) and Galaxy A5 (2016) earlier this year. Both of these smartphones are powered by the Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 chipset and offers great features at a decent price.

There is some great news for the users of the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2016) and Galaxy A5 (2016) as the Korean tech giant has slowly started rolling out the latest Android Marshmallow update for both these smartphones in various regions. Countries like Russia, Serbia and Turkey have already started receiving the Android Marshmallow OTA update while the update is slowly hitting a lot other countries as we are speaking right now.

The firmware upgrade will not only upgrade the OS to the latest Android Marshmallow but will also upgrade the security patch level to June Security Patch Level. The Marshmallow update will also bring a host of new features like the Doze-Mode, Google Now on Tap, customizable App Permissions and lot many improved new features to the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2016) and Galaxy A5 (2016).

You’ll get the OTA update notification very soon. The update is being rolled out in phases so it may take a few days to reach all the regions. Hence don’t worry if you don’t get the update in a day or two. In the meanwhile, you can also check for the update manually by going to settings.
