Ever thought of getting your Pokemon collection bigger in Pokemon Go by using cheats? Well, then you might have to think again as Niantic has decided to permanently ban those who are currently violating their terms of service by using cheats.
Niantic is currently banning those who use GPS Spoofing, Bots and other unauthorized software, which violate their TOS. Using emulators or third-party software can also get you a permanent ban. Here’s what Niantic had to say regarding this.
Your account was permanently terminated for violations of the Pokémon GO Terms of Service. This includes, but is not limited to: falsifying your location, using emulators, modified or unofficial software and/or accessing Pokémon GO clients or backends in an unauthorized manner including through the use of third party software.
GPS Spoofing and Bots in Pokemon Go
As for GPS spoofing, players can use it to catch Pokemon which are restricted in their region by making their Smartphone think that they are in a different region. And for Bots, well they kind of do everything in the game for you automatically.
According to Niantic, their goal is to make the game perfect for everyone and they will do everything they can to take down cheaters in the game.
Our goal is to provide a fair, fun and legitimate game experience for everyone. We will continue to work with all of you to improve the quality of the gameplay, including ongoing optimization and fine tuning of our anti-cheat system.
As for now, we currently don’t know exactly how Niantic is keeping a track of these cheaters in the game, but this is surely a good step towards improving the game. According to some users on Reddit, the number of cheaters in the game have increased a lot in the past few days.
