“Outlander” Season 3 will have 13 new episodes. The series is based on “Voyager,” the third of the overall eight books from the “Outlander” series by Diana Gabaldon.
Sudden Reappearance Troubles Claire
The upcoming season will pick up right after Claire aka Balfe travels through the 1700s and returns to her life in 1948. She is in an awkward situation right now as she is pregnant with Jamie aka Heughan’s child, says Deadline. Claire is struggling to come to terms with her new situation caused due to reappearance and is wondering how it will affect her marriage to first husband Frank (Tobias Menzies).
The previous season showed that during the 18th century Jamie struggles with his doomed fate after the historic Culloden battle in which he also loses Claire. Although both Jamie and Claire are yearning for each other they still try to carve a new life for themselves apart from each other.
In “Outlander” Season 3 Claire will come to know about the possibility of returning to the past to Jamie. However, she is also in doubt whether this reunion will be as expected. With continents and centuries separating the two, would they be the same people who got separated at the standing stones years ago?
