OPPO has launched a budget friendly smartphone, dubbed Joy 3. It is listed on the company’s official site without price and availability details. The OPPO Joy 3 runs Android 4.4 KitKat with Color OS 2.0 on top.
Powered by a MediaTek MT6582 chipset with 1.3GHz quad-core processor, it sports a 4.5 inch IPS display with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels and a pixel density of 217ppi. The dual-SIM handset packs 1 gig of RAM, 4GB of internal memory (expandable up to 32GB), and a 2,000mAh removable battery.
Measuring at 132.8×66.6×8.9mm with physical weight of 135g, the OPPO Joy 3 features a 5 megapixel rear camera with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2 megapixel selfie cam. It includes a number of connectivity options, like USB-OTG, microUSB, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS with A-GPS.
The phone also comes with couple of gestures, like slide up or down on display with two fingers to play/pause music, draw a circle over the screen to open camera, and double tap to wake up the handset.
On June 15, OPPO launched Neo 5(2015) in India at a price tag of Rs. 9,990.
