After being teased yesterday, the Oppo F1 has finally been launched in India. It is a camera-centric (mainly selfie-centric) phone and has been priced at Rs. 15,990. Before we dive into the details of the F1, let us tell you that the Oppo F1 Plus has also been announced by the company and will be coming to India soon with a price tag of Rs. 26,990.
Let’s talk about the specs of the Oppo F1 now. The phone comes with a 5-inch HD IPS screen with 2.5D Gorilla Glass 4 and 294ppi of pixel density. The dual-SIM device gets a 7.25mm slim full aluminium body and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with ColorOS 2.1 on top. Under the hood is an octa-core Snapdragon 616 processor along with Adreno 405 GPU and 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM.
The Oppo F1 sports a 13MP rear shooter with single LED flash and f/2.2 aperture. There’s a nice 8MP front camera with a wider f/2.0 aperture and features like live color filters, Beautify 3.0, display-as-flash, etc. Backed by a 2500mAh battery, the phone features 16GB of onboard storage. The F1 gets all the regular connectivity options including 4G LTE with support for Indian bands.
When the Oppo F1 was announced at CES, the company had made it clear that the F-series would be concentrating mainly on photography. Oppo‘s Vice President and Managing Director of International Mobile Business Sky Li said that the F-series will inherit the exquisite design tradition and excellent camera performance.
Meanwhile, the yet-to-be-unveiled Oppo F1 Plus will be seen flaunting a whopping 4GB of RAM and a 5.5-inch FullHD screen.
