The long-rumored OnePlus X has finally been launched and is the third release of the company after the OnePlus One and OnePlus 2. And oh boy! The phone is definitely a killer in looks, and its external appearance is its USP.
Two variants of the phone will go on sale- first one is the Onyx variant, and second is the limited-edition Ceramic version. The phone has actually been built with those materials. The Onyx variant comes with a metal and glass body, but its the Ceramic edition which is more interesting. The Ceramic edition of the OnePlus X gets a scratch-resistant body with 8.5H of hardness on the Mohs scale, which is extremely strong. The overall look and finish of both the variants are top-notch and premium.
Coming to the display, OnePlus decided to use a vibrant 5-inch Full HD AMOLED display in the OnePlus X, resulting in 441ppi of nice pixel density. Under the hood is a quad-core Snapdragon 801 SoC coupled with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage. A 13MP ISOCELL sensor at the rear comes with f/2.2 aperture and can shoot Full HD videos, while the front gets a great 8MP snapper. The phone runs the company’s new Oxygen OS on top of Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. The OnePlus X keeps running all day with the help of a 2,525 mAh LiPo battery.
Coming to the pricing, the Onyx variant will go on Sale in Europe on 5th November for EUR 269. OnePlus X will reach the US on 19th November for USD 249.
