7. Exclude Google App from Background Restricted Apps

  1. This advise is accurate information. I had this same issue in which “OK Google” did not work. It was in fact, dust in the speaker on my S8 Plus. I blew it out with air duster, and used a good magnet to withdraw the metallic debris for the speaker grill area. It is working as it always did.   2. You can also change away from the Samsung Keyboard.
    Mine was letting me train the voice but hanging after it was trained. Once another keyboard (I chose SwiftKey) was installed the training completed successfully and the Google Assistant has been working wonderfully ever since
