Motorola Deutschland confirmed that several Motorola models will receive Android 7.0 Nougat update during December, great news for all Motorola fans. A couple of days ago, on December 6, Motorola Deutschland published on its official Twitter page dates when Android Nougat updates should start shipping to select models.

Firstly, Moto G (4th gen), as well as Moto Play, should start receiving the update before Christmas; The Moto Z Play will get Android Nougat during January 2017. After Moto Z Play, the update will come to the Moto X series and Nexus 6.

This confirms the earlier statement by Motorola in which the company stated that a total of 15 smartphone models will receive the latest Android version; the first models planned for update were the Moto Z and Moto G4.

Moto Z Play

Verizon-exclusive Moto Z-Droid and Moto Z-Droid Force were the first to receive the update in November. Moto Z international edition followed, getting the update on December 6.

Next models from the Moto Z series that should receive Android Nougat are the Moto Z Play and its Verizon-variant, Moto Z Play Droid that should get Nougat during January, according to Tweet posted by Motorola Deutschland.

Moto G4 Series

All devices from the Moto G4 series (Moto G4, Moto G4 Plus, and Moto G4 Play) should receive the update before Christmas (December 25), according to Motorola Deutschland’s Tweet.

Moto X Series

Moto X Style, Moto X Play, Moto X Force and Moto X Pure Edition (3rd Gen) are slated for the update after the Moto Z Play. Since the Moto Z Play Android Nougat upgrade is slated for January, The Moto X series should get it during Q1, 2017.

Nexus 6

Nexus 6 Owners should also expect for the Nougat update to land on their devices during Q1, 2017.
