The Japanese tech giant Nintendo has confirmed that the Nintendo Classic Mini NES has been Discontinued in North America. The last shipments will be delivered in the month of April 2017.After that, the production of NES Classic Mini will stop permanently. In another round of news, it’s been cited that the same situation could soon follow for the UK Nintendo Switch stocks. And because of this decision, the Nintendo NES Classic Mini stocks aren’t available at the moment in the UK.

According to Nintendo, They have no intentions to make NES Classic Mini a long-term product. Nintendo only increased the production due to high demand for the console. Nintendo further said that while talking to IGN.

“NES Classic Edition wasn’t intended to be an ongoing, long-term product. However, due to high demand, we did add extra shipments to our original plans.”

Nintendo dropped this mega bombshell on the NES Classic Mini fans yesterday. Nintendo states that North American fans will receive their last stock of NES Classic Mini in the month of April.

“Throughout April, NOA territories will receive the last shipments of Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition systems for this year.

Nintendo encourages anyone interested in obtaining this system to check with retail outlets regarding availability.

We understand that it has been difficult for many consumers to find a system, and for that, we apologize. We have paid close attention to consumer feedback. And we greatly appreciate the incredible level of consumer interest and support for this product.”

What’s going to happen with UK Stock?

This leaves the situation of UK fans unclear to some extent. You can clearly see that Nintendo has mentioned Only North America in their statements. This supposedly suggests that the beloved console Nintendo Classic Mini could return in the near future.

It could also mean that the shipments for the UK and European regions could continue even after April 2017. But it seems pretty much impossible as well. Until Nintendo says something about the fate of UK players and Nintendo NES Classic Mini, we’ll have to wait. Hopefully, some good news will come out.

Now that Nintendo has decided to end the production of NES Classic Mini. It is possible that they will now move towards the SNES Mini Classic. It’s also possible that Nintendo will start producing enough units of SNES to satisfy both the players and the demand.

The only trusted places where you can have a possibility of NES Classic Mini stock right now are Ebay, CEX or the Amazon third party retailers. This means that the prices will now rocket. If you are to buy the console, you might have to pay doubled or more prices.

Hopefully, Nintendo will reconsider and will make the NES Classic Mini available in future. Because the demand for this remarkable console will never ever end.
