Motorola had launched its Motorola Moto X Play last year along with the Moto X Style and Moto G 2015. The Moto X Play was primarily intended for the Latin American, European and Canadian market, but the device also made its way to other markets including the Indian market.
Motorola has started rolling out the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update for the Moto X Play users in both India and Canada. The device had already got the Android 6.0 in Canada and India a few months back.
The new update includes a tonne of new emoji which is sure to make your conversations more happening. The update also includes new colourful icons, Google’s March security patch, performance improvements and a lot of other bug fixes.
Motorola has also brought some changes to the camera app which can be opened now just by double clicking the Power button. The shutter sound has also been adjusted to make the camera experience more enjoyable and like point-and-shoot experience.
If you’re a Moto X Play user in Canada or India, you’ll receive the OTA update anytime soon. You can even manually check for the updates in Settings if you’ve not received the update yet. We would strongly advise you to update your device to make your Moto X Play more secure.
