Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered Christmas Surprise

December is going to be a great release for the game. All the original DLC maps will be added to the game as part of a free update. We’re really hoping that we get the Christmas Crash map as part of the update. It was a night time version of the original Crash. Whenever someone got the 5 killstreak required for the airstrike, they would call it and you would hear Christmas bells ringing in the background as Santa Claus would drop gifts from the sky onto unsuspecting enemy players. It was a fun map and would look amazing as part of the new Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered.

Finally, console players of the game will be able to play on the popular PC map Christmas Crash. Previously, the map was only available to PC players. However, now console players will be able to get their hands on it and in full upscaled graphics. The map was practically a reskinned version of the original. There were a lot of Christmas decorations like snow, candy, and bells. A Christmas tree was placed in the middle of the map near the helicopter crash. A lot of players would just go over there. Then, camp behind the tree to avoid getting seen by snipers in the building directly ahead of them.

There’s also plan to add new camos, weapon skins and even retro version of Call of Duty 3 weapons. Let us know what you think of this Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered news. Stay tuned to MobiPicker for more.

Playing this on PC was more than a nostalgia trip. It demonstrated the gameplay and maps still hold strong appeal. the novelty Christmas re-skin was fun, again. But the next COD would benefit from revisiting the roots of successful game design that were so well crafted and not over-engineered in COD4.
