Microsoft has recently outed its flagship Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL and will surely taste great success with it. However, the company hasn’t neglected the budget market and has a new smartphone for budget buyers too. The company has officially confirmed that the Microsoft Lumia 550 that is already selling in Europe and the US is now coming to India.
The Lumia 550 is the cheapest Windows 10 Mobile phone from the company. The phone flaunts a 4.7-inch HD screen and gets a 1.1GHz Snapdragon 210 Quad-Core processor under its hood coupled with an Adreno 304 GPU. It has got 1GB of RAM and 8GB onboard storage. The phone gets a 5MP AF camera with LED flash at the rear, while there’s a 2MP camera at the front with an f/2.8 aperture.
The Microsoft Lumia 550 is a single-SIM phone and supports 4G LTE. It comes with a small 2,100mAh battery. Windows 10 Mobile in the phone offers new features like the new Microsoft Edge browser, Glance screen, and redesigned Cortana, Office, OneDrive, and Outlook.
The Lumia 550 will be available on sale in India from Wednesday for a price of Rs. 9,399 (approx. $142). The Windows 10 phone will be available in Matte Black and Glassy White variants.
