Metal Gear Solid 5 Definitive Edition arrives amidst all the fury and disappointment surrounding Metal Gear Survive

As a matter of fact, Konami had planned to captivate their audience with the new Metal Gear Survive trailer. However, it appears they ended up stoking the flame they started when they fired long-time Metal Gear game director Hideo Kojima. Furthermore, they could be trying to reconnect with their fan base by suddenly putting up Metal Gear Solid 5 Definitive Edition for sale. On the other hand, there is no official announcement from Konami yet.

Konami’s renowned Metal Gear series is considered the brainchild of the stealth genre. Metal Gear Solid popularized several stealth mechanics in 1999. Some of them became a staple for the genre. Metal Gear Solid 5 Ground Zeroes followed by Phantom Pain. Reviewers gave near perfect scores to the game on its release.

Metal Gear Solid 5 is considered as the greatest stealth game ever made and the best in the series. So, we can imagine the immense pleasure of the Metal Gear fan base when they find out their favorite rogue assassin is making a return in high definition (or it could be a crappy upscaled remaster simply made for a cash grab, who knows). As of now, we still don’t know much in detail. We expect 4K and other graphical improvements to be in the game.
