Lenovo K3 Note Android Marshmallow Update Released

Lenovo finally rolled out the much-awaited Android Marshmallow update for one of its most popular smartphone Lenovo K3 Note. Indian users would be able to see a notification for the OTA update on their devices.

Anuj Sharma, the Product Manager for Lenovo Smartphones in India had teased an image of the K3 Note running on a test build of Android Marshmallow back in January. Since then, users and fans had been waiting for the actual roll out, but Lenovo was extremely silent upon the status of the update. However, to everyone’s delight, Lenovo didn’t keep the fans waiting for long and has started pushing the Android Marshmallow update.

The build number of this update is K50a40_S322_160314_ROW and it measures 1657MB. The update, however, contains Android 6.0 and not the latest Android 6.0.1. You should be able to see the notification for the OTA update by now or you can check for the update manually too.

However, make sure to backup your important documents and files before updating to the new Android OS, because you can never be too sure if everything will go alright or not.

Do let us know if you have received the update or not and stay tuned for more news and updates from the tech world.

After upgrading my K3 Note from lollipop to marshmallow… My suggestion to K3 Note users is

Don’t upgrade your phone to marshmallow …

    Problems:-
    1. It’s not user friendly like because vibe UI will not be there.
    2. After updating to marshmallow, the apps installed in SD card will be unusable.
    3. Apps can not be installed to your SD card unless you are formatting the memory card as adopted.
    4. If you changed your SD card to adopted then it can never be used in any other mobile or computer. The durability of your SD card will be very less.

If these problems doesn’t matter to you… Then upgradation is suitable for you.
