LG G4 has been receiving the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in some countries or carriers already. The US Cellular version of the G4 has started receiving the update, and the phone had already received the update on Sprint. Some other countries have received the LG G4 Marshmallow update too. So if you own the LG G4, then there’s an exciting announcement for you. The phone will get the Android 6.0 update globally very soon, which means that the G4 in all countries and across all carriers (or unlocked) will receive the update soon.

However, you must remember that the roll-out will be a gradual one. This is why not all of the phones will receive the update notification at once. It will take a few days before the notification reaches to each phone. So just be patient and download Android 6.0 for your G4 after the update hits your device.

LG G4, LG G3, LG V10, LG G Flex 2, and LG G Stylo Will Get Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow Update

New reports suggest that the latest Android 6.0.1 update will be arriving to the LG G Flex 2, LG V10, LG G Stylo, LG G4, and LG G3 soon. The update will expectedly be released after the Android 6.0 roll-out has reached all the devices for a good number of days. As of now, the South Korean company has sent out the OTA update only for the LG Nexus 5X, obviously because its a Nexus phone and is promised the earliest OTA updates.

Of course, Android 6.0.1 is not a major update over Android 6.0, but it does offer some performance enhancements and new emojis. As mentioned earlier, the LG G4 has already received Android 6.0 Marshmallow in select countries. Meanwhile, even the LG G Stylo has been updated to Marshmallow 6.0 on Sprint. The LG G3 has got the 6.0 update in Poland, but the LG G2 might never get this update.
