With Turtle Rock Studios not working on Evolve anymore, apparently, they got bored and went back into the vault to dig out an unfinished level from Left 4 Dead. And then they decided to release it to the public, for that, we appreciate it. The campaign is called Dam It, and the 2 survivor levels are called Highrise and Coal Freighter.
“Dam It” is the new unfinished campaign released for Left 4 Dead
This is a newly released BETA campaign for Left 4 Dead called Dam It. As you can see it was abandoned half way through development but it’s actually quite good. Dam It stitches Dead Air and Blood Harvest together. Turtle Rock are not disbanded, they just released some games in the VR department. We do know that they are working on something bigger/else, but we don’t know what.
Turtle Rock Studio officially stopped working on Evolve just 9 days ago. They had their goodbye stream on the Evolve twitch channel on October 27. Which means they might be working on something else. The new map also works for Left 4 Dead 2 but there will be a lot more glitches and an invisible wall so it is not advisable to play it on the sequel.
It’s not available on consoles and a lot of PC players had already played it a long time ago through data mining the game files. No, this still does not mean Left 4 Dead 3 is confirmed but releasing a new campaign like this still leaves a lot to be desired from the series. Still hoping the 3rd game will add the cut content, like dogs, the screamer, and the leaker. Although redesigned sounds and their mechanics could be tweaked or not. Granted their mechanics might be used but; having two of a type of threat is always a good thing. Anyways stay tuned to MobiPicker.
