This Thursday, Lava launched two new budget smartphones in the Indian market, Lava A88 and Lava A71. The A71 has already gone on sale at a price of Rs.6,499 while A88 will be soon made available at Rs.5,499.
Lava A71 sports a 5-inch HD (720 x 1280 pixel) IPS display which comes with Corning Gorilla Glass for extra protection. It is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor assisted with 1 GB of RAM. It features a 5 MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video-callings. It offers 8GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 32 GB by an external microSD card. The phone is juiced by a 2500mAh battery. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop and comes in Royal Blue, Dream Black, and Regal Gold colours.
The Lava A88 also runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop, and sports a 5-inch having a resolution of 480×850. On the processing front, A88 is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor assisted with 512MB of RAM. The rear shooter is a 5-megapixel lens with an LED flash and for selfies and video chat, it has a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It offers 4GB of inbuilt storage expandable up to 32 GB by an external microSD card. The smartphone is powered by a 2000mAh battery and will come in Black and White colour variants.
