Apple is going to hold an event on 21st March and has already sent out media invites for it. It is being expected that the event will be the launch pad for the new 4-inch iPhone SE, a new iPad Pro (9.7-inch), and some new Apple Watch models and accessories.
Talking about the new iPhone SE, a lot of rumours have already given us a rough idea of what we should expect the new iPhone to offer. It is being said that the 4-incher will look like the iPhone 5s, while some reports say that it might get a design similar to the iPhone 6/6s. The new iPhone SE is expected to be priced between $400-$500, and if rumors are to be believed, the iPhone 5s will get a 50% price cut after the release of the new SE.
The new iPhone will get a 4-inch display and will be powered by A9 and M9 processors. It will come with the new Live Photos feature that are currently seen only on the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. The SE will support WiFi 802.11ac, VoLTE, and Bluetooth 4.2, but it will sadly not get the 3D Touch display seen in the current Apple flagship smartphones.
The iPhone SE will also flaunt an NFC chip for supporting Apple Pay. It will be available in Space Grey, Silver, and Gold color schemes with 16GB and 64GB storage versions. We might also see a Rose Gold option.
As for the camera, we expect to see an 8MP rear and a 1.2MP front shooter, as we do not expect the latest 12MP/5MP setup from the 6s to show up on the SE. But do note that all these are mere speculations and rumors, and we need to wait for 21st March to clear up all these specs. So let’s wait and watch.
