Just as promised earlier, Apple has released the first iOS 11 Public Beta software for testers. Unlike the developer edition, this one is free for all to download and install on their particular devices. The latest software release is available for compatible iPhone, iPad, iPod touch device right away.
iOS 11 Public Beta – How to Download and Install
The Public Beta release for iOS 11 is only available as an over the air download. This means you cannot perform a clean install using iTunes, as was the case with Developer Edition.
Before proceeding further, it’s best to learn the compatible devices. Run through the following list and see if you are eligible for the update:

Other than the above-mentioned devices, iPod Touch is also compatible to run iOS 11 firmware.
Now that you have found out your device capable of running the latest software, it’s best to backup important stuff using iTunes or iCloud. It’s absolutely essential that you do this in case you plan to downgrade back to iOS 10.x later on.
Step 1: Head over to “beta.apple.com” on your particular device.
Step 2: Sign-In with your Apple ID (the same one you are using on that particular device).
Step 3: Tap the “Enroll Your Devices” on the top-most bar.
Step 4: Scroll down a little and tap on the blue Download profile button.
Step 5: Follow the on-screen instructions and reboot your device.
Step 6: After the reboot, head over to the Settings > General > Software Update, and tap Download and Install.
Thereafter, the first iOS 11 beta software will be downloaded and installed on your device. The whole process won’t take more than half an hour.
