HTC launched the Desire 728 smartphone in China back in September, and now the famous Mumbai-based Mahesh Telecom claims that the phone is arriving to India very soon. Though the exact date is not confirmed, the retailer claims that the Desire 728 will be carrying a price tag of Rs. 17,990.
For those who are not aware about the specifications, here is a quick recap. The Indian variant of the Desire 728 comes with dual-SIM support (GSM + GSM / CDMA + GSM) and features a 5.5-inch 720p display. Powered by an octa-core 1.5GHz processor, the phone is coupled with 2GB of RAM along with 16GB of expandable storage (up to 200GB).
The photography enthusiasts get a 13-megapixel primary camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing snapper for selfies. Running Android 5.0.2 Lollipop out of the box, the Desire 728 features a 2800mAh battery with quick-charge technology. As far as connectivity is concerned, it includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB, and GPS.
If the aforementioned price is true, the HTC Desire 728 Dual-SIM will compete with the Gionee Elife S Plus, which is expected to release in India at a price tag of Rs. 16,999.
