GTA 5 Online Biker DLC Engine Upgrade Bug Disables Engine EMS Upgrades After Retrieving Vehicle From Garage

It looks like Rockstar rushed the new GTA 5 Online Biker DLC without properly testing it. Players are reporting numerous bugs and missing features. It is clear the new DLC has broken the game. Thankfully Rockstar has responded to most of the reports so we’ll be seeing a patch soon. Anyways, what caught our eye the most was the engine upgrade bug which happens when you retrieve a vehicle from the garage.

GTA 5 Online Biker DLC Engine Upgrade Bug

“Retrieving a Vehicle from a Garage disables Engine EMS Upgrades. Mechanic/Assistant Delivery Unaffected. Visiting LSC/Repurchasing the Upgrade temporarily resolves the issue. Upgrade is disabled every time a car leaves a Garage. Issue affects ALL Vehicles, most noticeable on those with “low” acceleration. Effect on Races is unknown. PC, XBOne and PS4 affected.

When the new Bikers DLC for GTA Online dropped I noticed that my Armored Schafter LWB had noticeably slower acceleration. No balance changes were mentioned in the Changelog so I compared LSC screenshots from an older DLC and noticed that the acceleration bar was higher than it is now with the Bikers DLC.

My Schafters Performance Stats in the race menu and in the Garage were normal indicating that some sort of upgrade was not working correctly.”

You can checkout the Reddit post and the accompanying Imgur album too. Another player asked about the unavailable ClubHouse Vehicle Management to which the dev responded:

“The Vehicle Management system contained within the new Biker Clubhouses has been temporarily disabled. We are looking into re-enabling this as soon as we can.
