Gionee has launched its latest S6 series smartphone in India. The Gionee S6 Pro was announced back in June. It comes in Gold and Rose Gold color options. The premium smartphone is priced at Rs. 23,999. It will be available across India from October 1st. Gionee is also providing a free three-month subscription to Saavn Pro as an introductory offer.
The Gionee S6 Pro sports a 5.5-inch IPS display with 2.5D curved glass and full HD resolution. It is powered by a 1.8 GHz Octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755M) processor along with Mali T860MP2 GPU and 4GB LPDDR3 RAM. It is supported by 64GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB via a micro SD card. The phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with Amigo OS 3.2 on top.
The Gionee S6 Pro packs a 13-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX258 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, LED flash and phase detection auto-focus (PDAF) that can focus in just 0.1 seconds. It also features an 8-megapixel front camera with f/2.2 aperture. The new handset comes equipped with a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button. Gionee claims that it can unlock the smartphone in just 0.1 seconds.
The Gionee S6 Pro is backed by a 153×75.26×7.6mm and weighs 170g. It features Hybrid Dual SIM (micro + nano / microSD) support. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. It is backed by a 3130mAh battery.

Gionee is also selling a VR headset for the new smartphone, separately. The S6 Pro comes pre-loaded with Gionee VR app for VR viewing experience. The company is also offering games in G-Store (VR) along with various videos. The Gionee VR headset is priced at Rs. 2,499.
