According to various insights, Gamestop’s been recently very concerned with their physical product sales drops and they are certain that their sales will improve over time with some new titles. In the latest investor call, Gamestop has revealed that they still have some very important cards to play while pointing out to PlayStation VR, Xbox Scorpio, and Nintendo Switch. According to them, these three are the primary drivers, Gamestop is seeing to be going way forward.

Gamestop’s CEO Paul Raines recently stated that

In Physical gaming, there have been cyclical declines without question, but we have very strong cards to play in Nintendo Switch, Sony PlayStation VR, and Microsoft Scorpio.”

It seems like Gamestop is putting a lot of faith in the new Xbox Scorpio. They are hopeful that it will drive their sales.

Gamestop’s Chief Operating officer, Tony Bartel says that

Finally, We’re impressed with the Microsoft Scorpio product, and it’s a gamer friendly Console. That will drive the revenues when it launches this Holiday season.

Unfortunately, we can’t talk about a lot other than what’s known. The Scorpio is a very powerful system that’s really made for 4K. We see it as a very gaming centric, very, very powerful unit and so we do believe that there will be some great games that are made for this.

It is possible that they may not know more than what we customers and user do. But, what they do know, they are quite optimistic about that. Gamestop has a lot of optimism for the Nintendo Switch, we know that for sure. So in the end, we’ll say that based on all what Gamestop said in the past few days, shows it is true regarding the new Xbox Scorpio consoles as well.

Xbox Scorpio is going to release later this year. It is possible that Microsoft will reveal the full details about Scorpio on E3 press conference. There are also possibilities that Microsoft will be launching the Xbox Scorpio on a special Scorpio Event. Though, these are all speculations. Let’s see how it all turns out when the console will finally launch on the official dates.
