It’s been 8 long years of practically begging Activision to release the rights for Crash and they finally did. This just goes to show that if we can get Crash back we can get anything. Vicarious Visions are really doing it justice. It’s definitely in the right hands. However, former producer of the original trilogy thinks otherwise about the new Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy.
Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy shouldn’t be happening according to the producer of the original Crash Bandicoot
In a sit-down chat with Power Up Gaming, Crash developer David Siller shared his thoughts on the Vicarious Visions-developed N. Sane Trilogy.
“The remastered game looks great no doubt. Vicarious Visions is doing a great job as well. I don’t know how it plays but if it isn’t an obvious improvement then that would be a disappointment. After twenty years there are ways to improve what was already there and instill an even better feel to complement the looks. This was no easy task and I give them credit for giving it a shot in the first place, but then what developer wouldn’t take this on as I am sure the money and potential upside was worth it.”
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy which was announced at E3 as the Crash Bandicoot HD Trilogy was shown off at Playstation Experience 2016. The game looks to be keeping everything the way it was back on the PS1 but making it a lot of tons prettier and getting it out there for a bunch of new gamers to know why we all thought the series kicked so much ass.
The original voice actor of Crash will be voicing Crash again. If you’ve seen the intro to this remaster, you’ll hear the good old same “Uh oh!” when Crash breaks through the window. Vicarious Visions is making the remake, and they have some experience with the Crash franchise (They made Crash Nitro Kart and the GBA games).
Crash 1 had a few issues, like a poor save system and not saving the crates you smashed after reaching a checkpoint. Which means if you lose a life, you had to restart the entire level over if you were aiming for getting all the gems. It made doing 100% a complete chore. We hope the fix in the remake.
