Coolpad Rogue officially announced: Priced at 50$ with Lollipop 5.1.1.OS and 4G LTE

Finding a cheap and cheerful smartphone is not that easy nowadays. Because if you get better specs, the prices get high and vice-versa. The latest smartphones which have had excellent features and value for money were Moto G 2015, Alcatel OneTouch Idol3 and ASUS ZenFone2. But they cost over 150$. What if you get a phone with mid-range specs and yet the price doesn’t hurt you? Well Coolpad has come up with one such device that is going to give value for money.

The device has just been made official, and it shall be available both on-line and in-store at T-mobile for just 49.99$ on Wednesday 30th September 2015. The Coolpad Rogue features a 4.0 inch WVGA display with a resolution of 800×480, a dual-core 1.1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with an Adreno 304 GPU, 1GB of RAM, 4GB inbuilt storage and 32 GB expandable micro-SD slot. The camera is weak with a 2MP main one and 0.3MP front shooter. The device supports LTE bands 2, 4, 12 and AWS3. The operating system is updated with the latest Android 5.1.1.Lollipop, that is a rarity on 50$ phones.

At 50$ though the device won’t be a cool quotient for many but its surely going to be inexpensive for the first time buyers and for parents who want to gift their children a next-gen device.
