On December 13th, six additional MP maps are coming to all Modern Warfare Remastered players free of charge. Plus the holiday-themed Winter Crash map and two new game modes: Gun Game and Hardpoint.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered December Update is going to make your experience even better
Raven Software is the development studio behind Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered & they already stated they’re going to be supporting the game post-launch with lots of updates. What could this possibly mean? We already know about the December update but could we be getting even more content after that?
Taking a look at the only other game that the studio has had full creative control over might provide some answers. We’re talking about Call of Duty Online, a free-to-play CoD game based in China. That game has received countless updates with extra add-ons like new guns, camos, game modes, character customization and more. Does this mean that we will be getting elements from CoD Online into Modern Warfare Remastered including the dreaded supply drops?
And what about mod support? Could Raven software release that in a later update? BO3’s mod tools on PC just came out in beta mode when they were supposed to have it in March. It’s October and they’re light years behind on things like that. And it’s all about copyright. Activision doesn’t want random people using their assets for things they weren’t meant to be used for.
Plus Xbox and Sony have very strict rules as to what code can or cannot be run on their systems. Because they have to protect the consumers of their online services. That’s why most mod tools are probably going to be PC only.
