The Apple MacBook Pro 2016 is one of the most anticipated this year. BGR claims that the upcoming Apple flagship laptop will come with many new features and improvements, such as the OLED function key panel [expected to replace the FN keys]. The newly designed OLED function panel will be placed on the upper part of the keyboard to provide easy and quick access to frequently used applications.
The GameNGuide states that the MacBook Pro 2016 is likely to sport a 5K display. It will replace the ThunderBolt display, used on predecessors. Apple is rumored to have partnered with LG for the new display. As per Mac Rumors, the new laptop might come in two variants – a 13-inch model and a 15-inch model.
The MacBook Pro 2016 is expected to be powered by the sixth generation of dual-core Intel Core M processors. Apple may also use the seventh generation Intel Core i5 and Core i7 CPUs. According to Gotta Be Mobile, the upcoming flagship laptop will come with USB Type-C support and an extended battery life of about 10 hours. According to IBT Times, the flagship laptop will come with AMD’s Polaris 11 GPU graphics cards. It will come with mac OS Sierra pre-installed.
The MacBook Pro 2016 is likely to add a new fingerprint login ability as a security feature. The new security feature is already used in Apple smartphones. The fingerprint sensor is said to be located under the laptop’s power button.
While there isn’t any information about the pricing as yet, the 2016 MacBook Pro is likely to cost upwards of $2,000 for the 15-inch variant. The 13-inch model will cost upwards of $1,000.
