The ZenFone 3 is perhaps the most basic and simplistic of all these three devices. The device looks gorgeous clad in an Aluminium body with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass on both front and back. The fingerprint sensor is located on the rear of the device adding more to its aesthetics. It sports a vibrant 5.5-inch FHD Super IPS+ display with great colour reproductions and brightness up to 500 nits. The device boasts a 77.3% screen to body ratio.
The ZenFone 3 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM. On the camera front, there is a 16 MP rear snapper which employs the ASUS TriTech technology. This technology uses the combination of second generation laser autofocus, contrast detection autofocus, and phase detection autofocus to achieve focus in just 0.03 seconds. We’ll do a separate review of the camera quality of this device later.
The ZenFone 3 Deluxe can be called an enhanced version of the ZenFone 3. It is the ASUS flagship device of the year 2016 and it goes without saying that this is a beast in terms of specs. The device looks elegant in an all-metal body with no visible antenna lines. On the core of this device is the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset and a gigantic 6 GB of RAM to take care of things be it heaving gaming or 4K video processing. The device sports a gorgeous 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a great screen to body ratio of 79%.
On the camera front, the device sports a 23 MP rear shooter using Sony IMX318 sensor and an aperture of f/2.0. Among other things to note, there is USB 3.0 with Qualcomm Quick Charge support and an amazing single five-magnet speaker with Hi-Res Audio support.
The ZenFone 3 Ultra is the bigger sibling of the ZenFone 3. It sports an all-metal aluminium body and a humongous 6.8-inch FHD display with a screen to body ratio of 79%. It sports a fingerprint sensor on the front of the device, unlike its other two siblings.
The device is meant for those who love watching videos on their smartphone.
