Rick and Morty Season 3 Updates: Release Date Announcement Soon, 14 Episodes, Hiring New Writers

Rick and Morty season 2 concluded in October 2015 and since then, fans of the critically acclaimed animated series have been eagerly waiting for the next season to arrive. In August 2015, Adult Swim did confirm that the series will be renewed for a third season, but no specific release date was provided for it. Even today, fans currently don’t know exactly when the next season of their favorite series will arrive.

Recently, it was reported that the creators of the show are trying their best to air Rick and Morty season 3 as soon as possible. In fact, they have taken necessary steps to make sure the next season arrives in time.

According to the creators of the show, Rick and Morty season 3 will consist of 14 episodes. This means that the creators have already created a suitable schedule to complete these episodes in time. The previous season consisted of only 10 episodes, but 14 episodes for the upcoming season will be a perfect number considering the fact that the story has been improved. Avid fans of the series know that Rick was captured by the Galactic Federation at the end of season 2. So out of 14 episodes, one or two might focus on what happened to Rick after he was captured.

More Writers Hired For Rick And Morty Season 3? 

Along with this, it is said that the creators have decided to hire new writers for Rick and Morty season 3. Having only a few writers for the show might increase the delay. Having more writers will definitely speed things up. On the other hand, the creators of the show were brave enough to tell fans that the delay is happening because of them. The co-creator of Rick and Morty, Dan Harmon claimed that he and Justin Roiland fu***d up. He further added that writing the story of Rick and Morty season 3 keeps on taking time, and they don’t know why.

On twitter, Justin tweeted that things will get gnarly when they get to know season 3 isn’t happening. Many fans started begging him to not do this. However, it was later revealed that he was just messing with his fans.
